Over 66 years of age? ..well, travel by train around Ireland for FREE with the Golden Trekker!
Sit back, relax and enjoy the views as you travel across Ireland by train. If you’re 66 years or over, you can now enjoy travel in the Republic of Ireland using the FREE Golden Trekker.
To avail of your Golden Trekker, please send an email to Tourism Ireland at goldentrekker@tourismireland.com at least 72 hours prior to your arrival in Ireland with the following information - First and last name; Date of birth; Passport Number or National Identity Card Number; Date you wish your Golden Trekker Pass to commence (each pass is valid for four days. If you intend to travel for longer periods, you have to apply for more than one pass.); Country of residence.
Email address and/or Postal address; Origin of first rail journey.
Once you have provided this information, a Tourism Ireland agent will process your application for a Golden Trekker, and a confirmation will be delivered to you in time for your trip to Ireland.
