The landmark building was designed by Pritzker award-winning Irish architect Kevin Roche, and features a stunning glass fronted atrium running the full height of the building - giving visitors panoramic views of the River Liffey, Dublin city centre and the Wicklow mountains. The Convention Centre Dublin offers extremely flexible and multi-purpose meeting spaces, which can be tailored to your individual requirements, helping to make your event run perfectly and providing excellent value for money.
This technically sophisticated venue is designed to the very latest standards, with all the halls and meeting rooms being wi-fi enabled and boasting the most advanced audio-visual equipment and lighting systems available.
Construction work on The Convention Centre, Dublin, is progressing rapidly. The building is very quickly becoming the iconic structure it was designed to be, on the northern banks of the River Liffey. The construction of the cylindrical steel Atrium is complete, as is the massive task of glazing the Atrium - 475 panels of glass were installed during October and November 2008. Work on the stone cladding on the building exterior is progressing well with phase 3 now complete on the east and west elevation. Work on the southern elevation, either side of the Atrium is well underway. Mechanical and electrical installations are at second fix stage in the basement levels, and the first fix is well underway on all other levels. In the Auditorium, the acoustic walls are almost complete and plaster rendering is underway.
