"In its' Georgian Splendour, the Pembroke Townhouse is an elegant and ideally located place to stay in Dublin. It has an air of ‘grandeur’ about it without the formality. The service is second to none, being treated as though you are a ‘family guest’. The staff we met were most accommodating at all times. It is so important to come back to an hotel after a long & busy day at the Dublin Art Show to be able to relax and enjoy the ambience of this delightful hotel. With its welcoming comfortable rooms - it’s a lovely place to stay – and with its freshly baked biscuits – why would anyone what to stay anywhere else. See you next year! "

"During 40 years of travel around the world, we have visited a lot of hotels, many are very much alike, Pembroke Townhouse is different.
It’s like coming home; to a friendly atmosphere, with a small kitchen waiting for us to make a cup of coffee or tea and savour it in the library in front of the big fireplace.
We found our room, situated high up with a beautiful view to Dublin’s sky, very cosy, clean and well-equipped.
Next morning, the sunny, yellow breakfast room with big, green trees outside the window wishes us good morning with its tasty, Irish breakfast, served by friendly and helpful staff.
Don’t forget to take a walk around in the hotel to look at the exiting, modern art adorning the walls.
A bonus for us was a 15 minute walk to town, through some of Dublin’s residential areas (enjoying all the doors) and parks.
Try Pembroke! Enjoy!"

"The Pembroke Townhouse has all the perks of a hotel but the little touches of a family run B&B. The room was small, but perfectly formed. The room & en-suite were spotlessly clean, I particularly liked the invitation to raid the cookie jar (and tea & coffee facilities) in the lounge area, if we felt peckish at any time. The rooms were clean, the staff friendly & courteous, the location is great & all for a very reasonable price."

"We would like to thank you for the weekend just gone, we had a great time and although this was our third time in Dublin we will be back. I would also like to add that the hotel was of the highest standard, bedroom amazing, with the balcony a great and suprising addition. All the staff we met were very friendly and made us feel very welcome."

"Hi Fiona, My husband Professor David D. Jackson and I, Dr. Kathleen Jackson wanted to vouch for a lovely and hospitable stay at the homely Pembroke Townhouse. We enjoyed the homemade cookies and tea and coffee service and the great breakfast in a sunny room. The staff were very helpful and the location is great walking distance to the centre. It was quiet and safe as well. We will stay again on return. Thank you! Kathy"

"Dear Fiona,
Please accept my apologies, for the delay in touching base with you to thank you and your team for our very nice stay at Pembroke Townhouse in Sept/Oct 2008. Every year we attend an Expo & visit clients/colleagues in Ireland. Our staff and I have stayed at Pembroke Townhouse for the past four years.
The Pembroke Townhouses’ staff are always very helpful and the Pembroke Townhouse is always very clean and neat. The service has always been exceptional. The security parking is also such a great benefit. My only suggestion would be to have the ability to make tea & coffee in your room – it can be a real hassle & non-inviting to go down to the lounge area to have to make this – previously on request this was brought to your room which was very good, however having the option in your room would be excellent (we now offer complimentary tea, coffee and home made cookies brought to your bedroom any time of the day or night!). Last year, we did not have renewed bottles of sparking water on a daily basis in our room – this is very good to do for customers (we can offer this (fee)).
The first year we came we stayed at another hotel down the road when it was at it’s peak – it now appears very very average since it’s change of hands & thus I would only recommend Pembroke Townhouse.
In addition, I had a business meeting in your meeting room – this was very good & the client was very impressed compared to some of your competitors and has stated she will refer clients to Pembroke Townhouse.
Kind regards, Danielle and Zoe"

"We stayed at the Pembroke Townhouse for 4 nights and enjoyed everything about it. The breakfast room is really lovely, sunny and bright with wonderful paintings on the walls. Our room had a large sunny window overlooking the street and the bed linens and bathroom were spotlessly clean. The lounge area is furnished with very comfortable sofas and chairs. We enjoyed the tea and cookies that were always available as well as the latest newspaper and magazines.
However, what impressed us most was the friendliness of the staff. We had some trouble with bus tickets that we had ordered on line and Vivien who was on duty at the reception desk went out of her way to help us with the problem. We would certainly stay there again.
You can easily walk into the centre of the city, but if you prefer, buses are only a few blocks away. Mary Jo"

"Great location & staff! Lovely, affordable room!"
"I stayed here for 4 nights, travelling as a thirty-something woman solo. Felt safe walking to and from the hotel into the center of Dublin both day and night. I am a big city person though, so someone not comfortable in cities may want to walk during the day and take a cab at night. I did that for convenience sake and it was very easy and not too expensive. There is not a lot going on in this part of town (Georgian section), but it's an easy 15-20 walk to all the shops and restaurants on Grafton Street and Temple Bar. Plus, those areas were hectic and loud--great to go out in, but maybe not the best to stay in, depending on what you like. The staff at Pembroke was very helpful and polite. The rooms were a good size, very comfortable, and impeccably clean. Very comfortable bed. There is an elevator which always worked. Also a safe in the room, which I appreciate. I booked my stay on lonelyplanet.com which was very convenient and easy to use. There is a cancellation option up to 24 hours ahead, and then only one night's penalty if you have to cancel. This was important to me because I had already rescheduled once due to the volcano in Iceland. I highly recommend this hotel!"
